Although the stats for this game we're not great for any rookie they definitely don tell the whole story. This game was incredibly close all the way through with plenty of physicality and Adam Barron, although lacking in any scoring statistics, he really stepped up and took charge in this game and lead the game in hits delivered with five big ones. This along with his 19:05 minutes played proved to combine for quite the impressive performance by the rookie.
Andrey Barbashev II
As previously mentioned this game was not a great showcase of rookie scoring ability but just like Barron did for the Raiders, Barbashev stepped up physically when his team needed the added presence on the ice. He ended the game with three hits and three shots, managing to combine the physical play that we are getting used to seeing from him with some decent offensive chances, although he unfortunately didn't get rewarded for his effort.
