For the big brother program, I was chosen to be mentored by the one and only Mike Izzy of the Calgary Dragons. It was a very interesting experience to say the least, and to be honest I didn't really understand why he was showing me all these clips of the Dragons while getting down with women (with drugs) in the other room. I mean was watching clips of Izzy scoring supposed to give me a deeper understanding of the sport or something? At a certain point I just got kind of bored and figured that I should be let in on the fun too, so I had a few women (with drugs) to myself, one of which bizarrely had an Anchorage Armada tattoo. That really weirded me out but I did my best to ignore it.
Apparently Izzy strongly wanted me to continue watching the clips he gave me, because he was absolutely furious at me getting in on the action. Worried for my safety, I used the only trick that I knew could console a cross Mike Izzy: buying him a chicken parm hero. This made him relax, and we managed to part amicably when I began my trip home to Hamilton.
I have to say the biggest lesson I learned is to avoid pissing off the Izzdog, and it will probably learn to be a valuable lesson once I'm in the league!
