For Thomason, since Manhattan doesnt have any prospects, he goes to his old smjhl team the Vancouver Whalers and big brothers Jean-Paul Boivin @Nokazoa. So for now he is with one of our mentors house to get accustomed to the hockey lifestyle, so Boivin and I will be going through some life skills choices once he gets called up to the SHL. Our first start was to how to cook properly on the road and at home. Food is one of the most important things to eat, and having a healthy diet helps you become a better player. So I gave him some of my recipes and we cooked one of them each night. On the road it is typical for the club to hire out a chef and cook for us the night after the game. For a test run of this, during the offseaosn we flew out to Vancouver to play in a charity game and we practiced what I taught and we had a good day playing hockey and making food.
