Kelowna did a lot of things right in this game they had 41 faceoff wins in comparison to Detroit’s 37. 11 blocked shots to Detroit’s 6 and only 6 penalty minutes in comparison to Detroit’s 8. Unfortunately, the inability to take advantage of the power play sorely hurt Kelowna with only being able to score on 1 of 4 attempts. The Falcons are proving to be a powerful team this season and this kind of play is showing that even when statistically being outplayed by many teams Detroit is able to put the puck on net at a much higher rate than their opponents and the strength of the team is its continued success and why it is on top of the standings.
