It’s the final countdown, the last 5 or 6 games remain for each team, and we have some races just ending and some super close calls. I know I just released an update a few days ago, but it seems too exciting to ignore from my vantage point, and considering I will likely be grinding the hell out of WoW Classic this weekend and not writing SHL media, I figure one more update while I sit o nthe clock at wor can’t hurt, so let’s take a look! (To save time I elminated from the list teams who have previously met their line already)
Buffalo Stampede Over/Under 28.5 games Current Record: 23-16-5 On Pace For: 26-18-6 Over Bets: 3 Under Bets: 5 This is likely going to be an under win looking at it. Buffalo has been mediocre at best in a top heavy Eastern conference and their only saving grace is that their division is terrible right now. Makes you question the divisional format a little, but the fact that Tampa could possibly beat them in points and still be in a wildcard spot is interesting. Buffalo will need to find goal scoring, and a lot of it, to beat the 28.5 mark as they are tied for the fewest goals scored in the league. Chicago Syndicate Over/Under 21.5 games Current Record: 20-23-2 On Pace For: 22-26-2 Over Bets: 18 Under Bets: 0 One of the first huge ones to watch. Chicago’s remaining five games are against Manhattan, Hamilton, Manhattan, West Kendall, and Toronto. I may not be a betting man but I would venture that they will likely go 2-3 here and break the over in the last sim of the season, but stranger things have happened and this has a lot of money riding on it. Edmonton Blizzard Over/Under 27.5 games Current Record: 20-22-2 On Pace For: UNDER WINS Over Bets: 0 Under Bets: 2 Edmonton has underperformed this season and could likely miss the playoffs here. I’m not entirely sure the reasoning, maybe regression hit harder than I expected? Goaltending has been an issue this season and that goal differential was pretty awful. Either way, the 2 betters that took a chance here, good on you, you win! Hamilton Steelhawks Over/Under 24.5 games Current Record: 18-23-4 On Pace For: UNDER WINS Over Bets: 0 Under Bets: 13 Hamilton had a long shot but they failed in the end. Betters saw this one coming as Hamilton was not expected to be good, but the numbers proved they had a chance to have a 24 or 25 win season. However the Casino will take a loss on this bet, but look towards the others… Los Angeles Panthers Over/Under 20.5 games Current Record: 19-16-9 On Pace For: 22-18-10 Over Bets: 18 Under Bets: 0 The number of overtime losses here is amazing, but they put points up and I suppose that’s what matters in the West right now. Looking at the last six they have to play, I assume they will go 3-3 and break the mark, and find it unlikely they will go 1-5 or even 0-6, but if those OT losses play more of a factor… Minnesota Chiefs Over/Under 22.5 games Current Record: 22-21-2 On Pace For: 24-23-3 Over Bets: 3 Under Bets: 5 Needing just one more win in five games it’s hard to see them missing this mark, especially looking at the last 5 games they have left to play. Worst case scenario I believe they win one and break the over, which makes the Casino happy as they’ll make money on this one. New Orleans Specters Over/Under 28.5 games Current Record: 22-16-6 On Pace For: UNDER WINS Over Bets: 1 Under Bets: 3 They got close and could get to 28 wins with a good run, but they won’t hit the over. It’s not a huge loss for the Casino but it shows that the numbers were pretty solid for the odds this season, and will likely continue to be for some time. I just wish they waited to lose until late so this could be more fun to witness. Tampa Bay Barracuda Over/Under 22.5 games Current Record: 20-18-7 On Pace For: 22-20-8 Over Bets: 20 Under Bets: 0 Tampa has Toronto, Hamilton, Buffalo, Toronto, and Buffalo remaining on the schedule, and honestly, they could run a 5-0 win streak here. It’s hard to not expect them to win 3 more games. They have a winning record against Buffalo, even against Toronto, and a losing record versus Hamilton so far. Still, a close one to watch as they try to keep their playoff position as we wind down the season. Texas Renegades Over/Under 25.5 games Current Record: 18-23-4 On Pace For: UNDER WINS Over Bets: 1 Under Bets: 4 Texas just didn’t pack the punch they typically do in the regular season. Offensively they struggled and in the insanity that was the western conference, it’s not too surprising. Casino loses here but not badly, the Renegades will likely come back stronger next season. Toronto North Stars Over/Under 21.5 games Current Record: 17-25-2 On Pace For: 19-28-3 Over Bets: 2 Under Bets: 9 They need five wins in six games to hit this mark, and I just can’t see it happening. They play Tampa, Minnesota, New England, Tampa, Chicago, and West Kendall. At best I believe they may go 3-3 and finish under. Without a bit of luck or satanic rituals, I think it’s safe to say the betters win here. West Kendall Platoon Over/Under 26.5 games Current Record: 27-13-5 On Pace For: OVER WINS Over Bets: 8 Under Bets: 1 They did it and though they did slow their pace towards the end, they made the mark. Casino will pay out on the Platoon’s season, and reassess the strongest division in the league for next season as the numbers they put up against other division teams are outstanding. Winnipeg Jets Over/Under 25.5 games Current Record: 19-17-9 On Pace For: UNDER WINS Over Bets: 3 Under Bets: 0 Sadly the underperforming Jets didn’t quite live up to the hype, though they will likely see the playoffs, and could win a few more before the season ends. However, the Casino will take what she can get and will gladly accept the betters’ money here! So there you have it, a few more bets wrapped up and a couple exciting races to still watch. If you have money on the line, each sim could mean a great deal to you yet! (1085 words) |
