When the Game Got Away

A back and forth game, the Militia led after the first period 2-1, and the Raiders in the 2nd period reversed that to tie the game at 3. The Raiders held Montreal to just 4 shots in the second period, still gave up a goal but they were still able to keep the game even. Unfortunately for Halifax, their goaltender Monty Montgomery fell asleep, combined with the time in the intermission, and Montreal scored 2 goals on 7 shots in the 3rd period, for a total of 5 goals on 20 shots. For the Raiders, it seems as though an excellent 2nd period was actually their downfall, as their goalie wasn't ready coming back after the low work and the long intermission.
