The Gardiner signing is interesting because of the defensive logjam we already had. We've got Jake Bean and Haydn Fleury, two first round defensemen, waiting to crack the line-up, and we just signed Chase Priskie, an NCAA defenseman. I think Justin Faulk gets traded now, as he's entering the final year of his current deal.  It was a surprise to me, but a pleasant one since the price is nice.

An amazing price! Who would have thought the market would have been so bad for him? You got a steal with that deal and although a lot of Leafs fans like to complain about Gardiner, he's a great #2/3, enjoy the high-end offense and the occasional horrific turnovers!
