Misplay of the Game
At the beginning of the second period, shortly after Patrick Miller's goal to cut the Outlaw lead to just 2 (3-1), Anthony Archer takes a bad cross-checking penalty to give the Raptors an amazing chance to ride the momentum from the goal and try to tie up the game. However, the Raptors ALMOST squandered their man advantage away by deciding to ice the puck 3 times in the span of their powerplay. Luckily, Bo Kane won 2 of the 3 ensuing faceoffs to help maintain control of the puck even after his team's blunder which eventually led to Calogero Crudelli potting one near the very end of the PP to cut the Outlaw lead to just 1 at 3-2. Unfortunately, we at home cannot find a positive with the Raptors' powerplay strategy even though they scored as they receive tonight's misplay of the game. It's not often that we get a team meltdown for our misplay, but this one is unacceptable and luckily Bo Kane was able to carry his team through their mistakes.
