“It’s no fun to play in a league they’re in.” said coach Dupont Loc of Wojownicy Warszawscy. “I’m just glad they’re on our team.”

His praise isn’t misplaced. In their draft-eligible season in the PEL, the 7-way combo of Ryszard, Borys, Jebany, Filip, Daichi, Konrad, and Alesky Franciszek have torn the league up, leading the league in points and assists, as well as goalie wins. The energetic line of Konrad, Ryszard, and Jebany have combined for 74 goals in only 50 games to set a league record, and they head into the postseason with a record of 42-6-2.

Through all of this, the brothers still have a shred of normalcy. Ryszard and his brothers enjoy watching American football, and Borys enjoys his part-time job at the local library. Filip, the sheltered brother, is seeking a neurosurgery degree in the US, and Jebany is a crack DDR player at the arcade.

“We just try to live our lives, but the SHL is always looming”, said Ryszard, who looks to be a 1st round pick in the upcoming SMJHL Entry Draft. “We’re just trying to keep playing better.”

On the topic of the IIHF, Borys was quoted saying “We’ll make them see why we need a team.”
