Hello all and welcome to the Post Game Show from the SMJHL league offices here in beautiful Toronto, Ontario, Canada! We have a great defensive showcase to show tonight as the Anchorage Armada played host to the Anaheim Outlaws! Let's get into the action in Anchorage!


After one period of hockey, we have a very even game with both teams matched on shots on goal, the only really big difference being the short handed goal from the Outlaws, scored by Texas prospect Ivan Maximus, assisted by two North Star prospects in Ursin Zimmerman and Rhys Pritchard. The two goalies have been holding tough for their teams and the two offenses seem to be struggling to create a lot of big chances so far.


Another period, and another excellent display of defense from both sides as neither team was able to get a goal. Goalies Ian Venables and Separa Borro both have been playing well for their teams as they managed to shutout the other team in this period. The only other thing of note, was the hooking penalty taken by the Armada's Augustus Wang, but the Outlaws weren't able to make them pay.


In the final frame of play, we finally get some offensive action as the two teams both grab goals. Early in the 3rd period, Outlaws winger CT Carragher scores his fifth goal on the season six and a half minutes into the period putting the Outlaws two goals to the good after some bumpy waters after Andreas Stacks took a penalty less than two minutes into the crucial final period of play. However, the stress wasn't over for the Outlaws as Jay Reeves scored with less than three minutes left in the game to pull the Armada with in one goal of tying the game, but the last gasp effort wasn't enough as Borro held the Outlaws in the lead as he saw 13 shots in the period only allowing one goal.
