Knights Make Penalties Pay
In a close game like this one, it's the little things that make all the difference down the stretch for a team and the five penalties the Whalers took almost proved to be very costly, as they saw those five penalties turn into two goals. The Knights powerplay unit showed they had the Vancouver penalty kill unit figured out and that allowed them to push the game all the way to a shootout, barely losing a closely contested game. In a different game, the Knights might have been able to eek out a win over another penalty prone team.
