Off season plans with Jimmy Wagner:
1. Sprints with Sara each morning. Turns out one of the fastest women in Europe under 20 years old knows a thing or two about getting faster. 30-meter block starts were starting to show up in dreams, but those and the sled pulls were doing wonders for his acceleration. She was still winning the head to head races, but she also wasn't hearing the end of "I'm pretty sure I'm getting closer to you". 2.Agility ladders with ankle weights, with and without a stick in hand. You have stay light on the feet, even when you're on the ice, and these drills that Wagner carried over from Austria have been dialed up to eleven to push one of the league’s up and coming quickest players. 3. Buying a weight bench. Being one of the lighter players has a ton of advantages, but it was probably too much of a good thing at this point. Jimmy needed to bulk up at least a bit to stop getting shoved around so much. That was going to help him on defense, with the puck, and without the puck on offense. |
