Battle for playoffs
These two teams are fighting for the last east playoffs spot. They are very close and they both can surprise. We've seen Maine defeat Detroit, the best team in the league, but also Carolina beating Falcons back-to-back. The fight will be very close. These teams still have one match against each other and it may be the decider. All eyes in Carolina will be on Frans Eller. Will he be able to shut down top junior teams? Or will he falter under the pressure? Can Carolina's top-scoring players Wagner, Dream, and Víteček keep up the pace? A lot of questions that we will get our answers to in the upcoming days.

Close game, Dwight Knight's greatness
Players from Kraken definitely had their hearts broken when they lost against Maine Timber. As already mentioned they are in a gruesome battle for playoffs. Carolina was in the match for the most part. Actually the whole match. They had an opportunity to score a buzzer-beater in the third period. Dwight Knight also showed light of greatness. It's no secret he is one of the top prospects for S54 SHL draft and this only proved it. You can't score a more important goal than this. Unfortunately in the end result it didn't make any difference, but you know that you can count on Dwight scoring clutch goals using his amazing physical game.

Special teams
It is no secret that Carolina's special teams rely heavily on Velveteen Dream and Jimmy Wagner. They are beasts both on the power play and the penalty kill. They are also joined by Vítek Víteček on the power play, who is the power play goals leader in the whole league. Jimmy Wagner can make a huge space on the ice for his teammates which gives the power play a chance to thrive. On the defensive part, penalty kill, he doesn't give opponents any time to make a big set-up plays.
