After blocking the shot you get your stick out there and control the puck ever so slightly.  You see a teammate out of the corner of your eye and you attempt to clear the puck in their direction.

You whisper "go" before collapsing to the ice.

The puck barely crosses the blue line and is about to get to your teammate before it is scooped up by a speeding opponent.

As their team resets and you struggle to get up, your team puts up a brave front and manages to stonewall the other team from getting another setup in.

The period is called over.
