Detroit Hot Streak
#1

All is not lost apparently in Detroit as the Falcons try to pick themselves off of the mat and try to make a run to the championship.  Languishing on the playoff bubble just a week ago, they have managed to string together some impressive wins now riding a four game win streak.  Six wins and four losses over their last ten puts them in fourth place in the East division just six points behind St. Louis with eight games left to play.  It will be an uphill climb but it appears that they are at least on the right path to making the playoffs.

A resurgence from Edward Williams has attributed to some of the wins over this period and the Falcon faithful hope that this is just the beginning.  The consensus MVP last season would be very dangerous to whoever they face in the playoffs if he's found his scoring touch again.  Detroit is also excited to get some more scoring production from their blue line with defenseman contributing some key goals in the last few games.

Detroit has a difficult schedule to wrap up the season with games against both first place teams as well as St. Louis, Anaheim, and Carolina.  It will be a tough finish but if they keep scoring like they have been, they have a great chance to finish strong.  Plus if they have any hopes of winning another cup, they will need to be able to beat the best teams in the league anyway.  We will check back in after each day to update the progress towards the playoffs.
