Let's see... there was the comparison to Buffalo getting by with a lower TPE goalie, who btw didn't win the Challenge Cup, and also have a ton of players over 1800 TPE, so it's not really a good comparison to our situation. A ~400 TPE increase isn't a "slight" upgrade in goal either. We traded a 2nd from a draft we were carrying a 1st and three 2nds, and traded a conditional 3rd from a draft where we were carrying two extra 3rds. The 1st is a gamble, but we're hardly the first team to gamble a 1st round pick. Just a couple of things I thought they were completely off base on.

So you gave up a first round pick and likely two seconds, assuming you make the playoffs, for a 400 tpe upgrade on the most random position in FHM where the only thing that seems to matter is a goalie’s heat level? At the very least it’s an absurd overpay
