In this deep dive I will be taking a look at the regular season statistics results of specifically the Defensive players on the Colorado Raptors. First I will be simply showing some categories and the leaders in each (Top 3 unless there is a tie then I will put everyone in the tie), then I will be listing and discussing the 3 players who had the top spot in the majority of these categories.

Aumy Jr.: Goals, Assists, Points, +/-, Power Play Goals, Power Play Assists, Power Play Points, Shots On Goal, Shooting Percentage, Average Game Rating, Average Time On Ice, Power Play Time On Ice
Anjris Asts: Highest PIM, Fights, Shots Blocked, Least giveaways
Ruggs McOoooh: Hits, Takeaways, Average Defensive Rating, Shorthanded time on ice.
Aumy Jr: Clearly the star of the colorado raptors blue line. An outstanding offensive defenseman who lead the the defensive core in almost every category. The only player on defense to crack 30 points with 35, bringing Aumy to third in points on the entire team. Further Aumy’s 20 goals was second only to Colorado center Lord Raiden who led by 3. Sadly this was Aumy Jr.’s last season with the raptors, leaving a big hole in the offense that will have to be filled up by the newer players.
Anjris Asts: While most people would consider highest penalty minutes a big liability, its party due to the fact that Anjris also has the most fights for a defenseman. Although noone on the Colorado defense actually won any of their respective fights. These stats clearly show how important the team aspect is to Anjris, putting their team over their body they've shown throughout the season that they are willing to do anything to help the team even if sometimes it turns out badly in the form of penalties. This idea is even more evident taking into account their 69 (nice) shots blocked and least giveaways on the blueline. Both massively important stats for a defenseman. On top of this Anjris was never an offensive liability. The only other player on defense (besides Aumy Jr. of course) that has a positive +/- rating and 2nd in assists with 12.
Ruggs McOoooh: Ruggs first season in the League with the Colorado Raptors proved fruitful and a good omen of things to come. With the most time on the PK followed closely with Anjris this pair helped propel the team to a 80 PK percentage. Ruggs big hits and takeaways were key in converting the puck into offense for Colorado. With this defensive success, passing was his only saving grace on offense. With 2 goals, he had to get in 10 assists to stay relevant on the other end of the ice. Ending with 12 points in his 15 games and the lowest shooting accuracy of all the players who played a full season. Even though there is room for improvement, the defensive side of the game is there in full swing.
Although these three players lead in most categories they were by no means carrying the teams defense. The remaining players Jed Mosley Jr, Terrence Smith (who only played 24 games with the team) and Ren-Ekelemchi Shimizu-Oko all held their own and collectively everyone besides the stunning Aumy Jr. were on relatively the same page. This group of players has shown this year that they have the ability to become the backbone of the team and can go on to propel the team to doing great things.
