After a long night of waiting to hear my name called, I was anxious to see the sights in Vancouver with my new teammates. After meeting in my new locker room, we decided to play some high stakes table tennis, where the loser would have to pay for a smorgasbord of traditional Canadian cuisine for the locker room. The games were intense as we worked our way through an impromptu bracket. A handful of rookies ended up making it to the top four, so we agreed to a split draw and shared the cost between us since we all figured none of us were particularly loaded (yet). We spent the rest of the night getting to know each other a bit better over poutine and ketchup chips, and I left the locker room that night feeling very comfortable with my new team. We're going to win it all this season.
