Eastern Conference:
The biggest storyline in the east so far has been the emergence of the Toronto North Stars as a legitimate contender finally. We all knew it was coming, and nobody was quite sure when, but this season they seem to have finally taken off. They're currently sitting 2nd in the conference and has turned what was already a bloodpath of a division into an absolute nightmare. It's absolutely crazy to me that one of those 4 teams are going to miss the playoffs.

Western Conference:
The Western Conference honestly has gone mostly as expected, but there are a few things worth mentioning. First, Texas has emerged as the clear cut favorite. I think most people had predicted this happening more-so than Toronto breaking out, due to quality of competition. The other thing worth noting is that to this point, the San Francisco Pride have actually surpassed the New Orleans Spectres and moved out of the conference basement for the first time in a few seasons.
