I would say the biggest story so far is the return to relevance for the Tampa Bay Barracuda. This team was mired in a deep rebuild for the past few season, and it is starting to bear some results. Many of the teams top prospects have been called up and have been playing key roles on the team. Guys like Colin Lampert, Joorgustraad DuBolk and Igor Victory have been playing huge minutes on the defensive side. Its not just the young guys who are stepping up. The vets of the team have really upped their game. Michael Fitted has 30 points in 36 games, 10 of which goals. Tom Fiddler has been tearing it up this season with 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points in just 36 games. Ambacas Cuddles has been a mainstay on the defensive side and continues to produce excellent performances. Zoltan Topalo has been a point per game player. Overall it looks like the Barracuda have taken their first step toward Challenge Cup contention.
