Over halfway into the Season 58 season, the Texas Renegades sport a record of 32-4 and are the top team in the SHL. They are first in the league in goals for and goals against by a large margin. They currently have five players scoring above a point per game pace in Kekkonen, Williams, Kvalheim, Kubinec and Wachter. In net, their goalie tandem of Cillian Kavanaugh and White Goodman has been rock solid, and amazingly both goalies are in the top 8 for wins league wide. While the Renegades have certainly benefitted from playing in the weaker Western Conference, there is no doubting that the Renegades are a legitimate cup contender. They've got the majority of their games against the Great Lakes division coming up in the latter part of the season, so it will be interesting to see how they stack up directly against the other top teams in the league.
