The SHL made a deal with ESPN and get now much more attention, but because ESPN already broadcasts a lot of hockey the league had to make a few significant promises. There are coming some massive rule changes for the teams. 1st we aren’t no longer playing 5 on 5 hockey, from now on it will be a 11 on 11 like they have in soccer. Pretty sure everyone now could think about what the 2nd massive change will be. The game will no longer be played on the smaller hockey rinks they have in America and Canada, they are now getting the size of a soccer field. So that means every SHL team will have to move on from their loved arenas and find a new rink to play. The league and ESPN hope that this could be the start of a new hockey hype and revolutionize the game of hockey. We will see if they are right or just ruin a great hockey league.
