On behalf of the SHL All-Star Committee, it is with great pleasure and privilege that I get to announce this season's All-Star Rosters!

The process that was used to determine these rosters may or may not be the process that is used next season and beyond for future All-Star Games. For this All-Star Game, the Committee discussed in depth one automatic representative from each team, which will not be shared at this time. We then submitted ballots containing a minimum of 12 forwards (up to 13), 6 defensemen (up to 7), and 2 goalies (up to 3) using a points system with the 1st forward getting 12 points, 2nd forward getting 11, and so on while the 1st defenseman got 6 points, 2nd defenseman got 5, and so on. Goalies received 6 points for 1st and 4 for 2nd. The 13th forward, 7th defenseman, and 3rd goalie received 0.5 points. Ballots were tallied, automatic representatives were removed, and the top remaining number of players at each position were selected to fill out the rosters. To provide an example of this, the Western Conference had 6 "automatic representative" forwards, so the top 6 forwards on the Western Conference ballot that were not automatic representatives were selected to give the Western Conference 12 forwards.

As stated above, this process may or may not be the process used for future All-Star Games. A post will be made in SHL media at a future date disclosing the process that the committee will use for both future All-Star Games and for the end-of-season All-League teams. This media post will then be referenced in each future All-Star Game roster and All-League announcements for clarification.
