I think the most surprising thing that has happened to me during my short SHL career so far was the announcement of the expansion draft. Obviously I knew that expansion drafts existed and have happened before but when it actually happens you realize that theres a very likely chance that some of your teammates wont be on your team anymore. This to me is why I think this is the biggest suprise even though to many other people im sure its not big deal, its really the only one thats actually affected me personally up to this point. It really is bittersweet because even though it may be a surprise im definitely looking forward to seeing how it plays out, it definitely seemt to be a very exciting process and if I wasnt already on a (formerly) rebuilding team im very happy with It definitely would have been something I would have looked into being exposed for. I wish only the best to our new teams. Hope they join the pride on our redemption tour of people talking about how trash were.
