I think the biggest surprise was trading my gud pal Gabe Johnson. I thought he was going to be a Steelhawk for life.he was my former co-GM and honestly at the time, I thought we would have to go into a rebuild with a trade with that magnitude as we only got picks back for one of the best defensemen in the league. We went on that see to win the cup, we were able to sign soulja, trade for blues and pick up tovio for the team. All three of these guys have been important for us. I feel like this was one of the biggest surprises as I never had intentions to trade Gabe or I never expected us to be in the position to win the cup the next season either. And we won the presidents trophy this season and look to have another chance at the cup.
