Raivo Helminen, born in Finland, allegedly. Raivo was never the best in anything when growing up. Never picked first in anything. Never picked last either. Mediocre, average, lame. Just a few words that someone could use to describe Helminen as an athlete. However, against all odds, Helminen has made it to the doors of SHL. He has not played any games in SHL yet, but the fact that he could show that there indeed is no god in this world.

Whoever made Helminen used leftover parts, but somehow it works. When you look at Helminen on the ice, somehow it works. He skates just average. He shoots just average. Everything he does is average. Have you ever met a person and wonder how on earth they survive in this world? Helminen is just like that.

Helminen does not understand the game of hockey. The coaches need to constantly tell him what to do on the ice. For the same reason, his linemates get extra money just for playing in the same line with him.

It's a miracle that someone can potentially earn millions and millions of dollars without having any real skill or talent. Someone could see it as the ''American dream'' or whatever, but that is not true. You need hard work, dedication, and a little bit of luck to live the ''American dream''. The only thing Helminen has is luck. He has more than plenty of it. He is the luckiest man alive. Without his luck, who knows where he would be. One thing is for sure, not close to playing in SHL.
