As the press conference for the new rookie signings of the Manhattan Rage is about to begin, we hear a blast of music in the conference room and sure enough it is the music of Alex Kidd. Left winger for Quebec City. Alex Kidd boastfully enters with his hands raised and embracing the crowd who are cheering on the new prospect for Manhattan. The hype is real, the crowd is electric and Alex Kidd can feel it in the air as he takes a second to breathe it all in before grabbing one of the microphones from a reporter.

Alex Kidd: Manhattan fans, you are all looking at the underdog, my whole life. I have been the underdog. People underestimate the talent and charisma that Alex Kidd has. I survive, I am a survivor. The Simulation Hockey League is for warriors and your next Manhattan Rage player is going to enrage and take this league by storm! You will all bow down before me, Alex "The King" Kidd and I will become the hottest prospect, the next big thing and the next superstar of the Simulation Hockey League. The face of the franchise! The face of this entire league.

Suddenly one of the other prospects sitting at the press conference table grabs a mic too

Vin Bangsa Wamy: Hey uh, hey Kidd. What uh....what are you doing?

Alex Kidd: What do you mean what am I doing? I am making a statement, a warning, a spoiler, a callout to the rest of the league to watch out for Alex Kidd your newest SHL major league player

Vin Bangsa Wamy: You're not a Manhattan Rage player

Alex Kidd: What? What do you mean I am not a Manhattan Rage player? You...you all saw the draft right?

Vin Bangsa Wamy: We all signed our contracts already, you weren't signed

Alex Kidd looks visibly confused as the crowd suddenly starts to laugh at him

Alex Kidd: You- You need to check your sources because I am preeeeetty sure my agent said I was due a contract just that he was waiting for a response. I- are you sure? Who- They told me- Isn't there something I can- Ugh okay this is uh, well this is embarrassing. I uh okay. Fans and supporters of the Manhattan Rage!!!! *fans cheer* This one uh might be on me alright? This, this was a misunderstanding and I can only apologize for interrupting. This one is on me guys, gentlemen, rookies. My bad. Aksel Fiske, Brady Bertrand see you in training...

Alex Kidd proceeds to give the microphone back to the reporter and then walks out to a confused general manager and roster of rookies. Alex Kidd then walks to the door where he meets up with his bodyguard who is waiting for him take him back to Quebec. Alex Kidd is then clearly heard saying. "Thank god I don't have to play in this shithole, Canada is such a nicer place to live in" to which the crowd reacts with a chorus of boos as he runs out the door
