Jay O'Neil first got into hockey when he was a wee lad, his dad was a huge fan of the New England Wolfpack so so was he. Jay grew up going to games and had so many posters and even the bed sheet set growing up. His hero was always the great Bubba Nuck and Jay always wanted to be just like him. Jay had his poster right next to his bed and would always look to it for inspiration. When Jay was twelve he finally got to meet his childhood hero and it's one of the happiest memories of his life, he's still got the signed stick framed on his wall. Bubba told him that if he trained hard enough maybe one day Jay would make it to the SHL and be someone else's inspiration to play hockey.
