If my team, the Tampa Bay Barracuda were down by three goals to one of our rivals late in the third period, which would be either the Baltimore Platoon or Atlanta Inferno, there would be a few things that my player could do to be a pest to them. One thing Ethan Bouchard would do is when the opposing goaltender covered the puck for a whistle and a faceoff, he would come in and give that goaltender a snow shower, causing some after the whistle antics. During those antics, Bouchard would grab the closest opposing player and give them a face wash with his now stinky glove. This would really get under the opposing team’s skin and cause them to be displeased to say the least. Maybe it would cause them to take some undisciplined penalties or get them off of their game and give our team an opening to gain some momentum. Another thing would be to chirp opposing players on the ice and use some stick work to get them unfocused and possibly bait someone into a fight. If the fight went our way, that would give us some momentum as well. It could be too little, too late but who knows? Goals can be scored in just a few seconds in the game of hockey and it could have the possibility of turning the tide in our favour.
