Elric is feeling a mix of nerves and excitement as he steps onto the ice for warmups. He's never played in front of such a large crowd before and he wants to make a good impression. He's also excited to finally be playing in a professional game. As he skates around the rink, he hears the fans cheering and it only makes him more determined to do well. Although he got to experience these same feelings every game last season, he has had a long and strenuous off-season thinking about the mistakes he made as a goalie and how he could not help lead the team to the playoffs last season.
