PLAYER PROMPT
"Never was a big fan of the National Anthem, American or Finland's," Boom Stick thinks, standing there, blankly staring at the image of the wavering American Flag. This girl doesn't have a particularly good voice, and I'm not having a fun time listening to it. "Wonder how I'll do this season. Hope it's good." He hums to himself, as the crowd stands up, beginning to do the point-at-the-flag during "The Brave" section. Boom Stick looks around, at the rest of his line, his coach, his girlfriend in the stands, and sends a little message to whatever deity could be listening: "Don't make me suck, you cunt. I'm gonna try my absolute best so I don't let down all the poor fuckers that are here to see me. Something about this year feels important. Don't dare touch it." After swearing for no particular reason, probably too loud considering that Dexter Harrison raised an eyebrow right next to him. Eventually the ice clears after the anthem, and he sits down on the bench, waiting for the shift as the game starts. A few minutes in, coach looks over and gives a thumbs up, calling in Boom Stick. As he heads up, he looks at a Knights player and begins to scream, incoherently at him. What a battlecry. "It felt good to get that energy out on someone, sorry, mate. Just gotta get ready." He heads up the slot and gets ready for another shot. Can't be that bad of a season, right? Right? |
