The New Orleans Specters kicked off their 21st season as only the spookiest team in the league can: by having a giant, massive haunted house outside of the arena. The Specters went all out for this event, hiring the best haunted house actors in the business. Construction started early in the summer to be ready for the start of the season. There are three options: a kids run through that’s not too scary for the little ones, a “normal” run through that terrorizes people at the same rate a regular haunted house would. And then there’s a “mega spooky” run through that fans have to sign a waiver for. While it’s part of the gimmick, it also protects the actors from the terrified fans. Fans for this event are also given a safe word of “ITS TOO SPOOKY” and they’ll be whisked away and taken out of the haunted house. All fans who make it through the haunted house will be given a 25% off coupon on their entire order in the Specters team store, and all are entered in a drawing to win an autographed Xavier Doom jersey!
