As an extravaganza opening night, the Montreal Patriotes will feature: the practice rink open to the public for an on-ice meet and greet, with a center ice maple taffy serving station, the "Beat the Brick" shootout challenge where lucky winners who beat Montreal goaltender Brick Wall in a one-on-one breakaway will win season tickets and swag. The team will be available for pictures, autographs and some light shinny action with fans.

The pre-game show for the opening night will feature an on-ice ballet tribute to the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, featuring the students of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal. There will be pinatas in the form of giant British Redcoats, filled with Patriotes hockey cards, and commemorative mini-pucks. 

During the period breaks, there will be a Patriotes Trivia Challenge for the audience, as well as the Crush Cam, where the camera pans to find audience members with fresh beers, and they have to chug them as fast as they can.
