After the end of long and grueling regular season, the Texas Renegades are currently gearing up for their first round playoff matchup against their longtime archrivals in the Chicago Syndicate. To keep the mood light and avoid overworking the team, the Renegades coaching staff have decide to wrap up the practice session with a classic Canadian pastime - curling. The players have split up into four teams, with two curling rinks set up lengthwise along the ice surface. Instead of throwing rocks down the ice, the Renes version has players shooting a puck from one goal line down the ice to try and get it to stop in the opposite faceoff circle. Not only is this good practice for weighting clears from the defensive to avoid icing calls, but a bunch of Renes players brought out some brooms to help sweep the ice and guide the puck to its target. This is sure to be good preparation for their upcoming sweep of the Syndicate in the playoffs.
