Throughout the season, practices can start to get contentious and can have otherwise friendly players start to get on each others nerves and begin to have quarrels amongst them. In order to blow off steam, when those tensions start to get too high, we organize a little tournament of guard your ground. In this game, we have two players face off against each other in order to push the other one out of one of the faceoff circles. Only pushing is allowed, and it is a best 2 of 3 for each round. This allows the team to let out a few frustrations, cheer on their buds, and have a pretty good time.

Nickelback has proven to be one of the worst players at this. While a fierce player on the ice, he doesn't seem to really have it in him to push teammates around. He usually tries to talk his opponent into leaving the circle willingly, a task that he has yet to be successful at through all his years on the team.
