It is a bright new season for the Vancouver Whalers, with new crop of young rookies ready to make a name for them selves on the team. Last season Vancouver put in a good effort a finished near the top of their conference. 
This season I am hoping we can take another step and make a solid push for the cup. A key to this will be a return to form from the veterans on the team. On the back end Miroslav Ketil will be leaned on to provide league leading offense from the back end, mean while Aleksandr Iskandrov will need to drive offense from the front. Repeating their performances from last year will be critical to the success of the Whalers this year. 
The beginning to the season started off a bit slow with some players looking as if they had regressed in skill back a whole year, with a bit of effort from the GMs and coaches things have been set right and the players have picked it up and improved. Hopefully from here out the Whalers will be leading the league by the mid way point.
