Despite an exciting preseason, I have to say that Loosh O'Sullivan doesn't quite make the cut of my top 3 most crucial players for the Great Falls Grizzlies. For starters, let's look at second line winger Bobby McGinnis. McGinnis will be crucial to the success of the Grizzlies this season, as he must be the primary goalscorer and leader of a second line with newcomer Loosh O'Sullivan at center and the better-established, but still growing, Alisters Vismanis at right wing. The first line can do a lot, but they're going to need the second line's support and they will be heavily reliant on McGinnis. Another crucial piece for the Grizzlies will be goaltender Alvin Towne. The value of a goalkeeper in hockey can hardly be understated, and the two-season vet has a lot to bring to the table. If he can continue to grow as he has in the past two seasons, he will be quite a wall to be reckoned with by SMJHL standards. Finally, as the defensive mention, it's got to be handed to Chris Valentine. This player is coming into his rookie season with an astounding amount of skill and talent. Stepping into the first line LD position as a rookie, his contributions to the Grizzlies will likely make-or-break their first line's success. He's strong on the puck and surprisingly well-rounded and fit, so he's the perfect man for the Grizzlies to rely on when push comes to shove. Go Grizzlies!
