Written Task: What kind of fun and exciting activities do you plan for your hockey school? What skills and lessons do you want the kids to take home with them? How do you structure the whole experience? What does it cost, if anything? Is this a hardcore hockey skills experience, or something that's just meant to be a fun opportunity to meet an SHL player? (150+ words)
Egli is a firm believer that hockey starts and ends with conditioning - and as a sheep farmers son he thinks these want-to-be snot nosed suckers should start where he did. School starts at 5:00am sharp, if you aren't there it isn't Egli's problem, your tuition stays the same. These kids obviously know what a bag skate is, but what they aren't ready for is a bag run - bags of feed that is. Each kid runs to the top of a 200ft 65 degree incline with a 50lb bag of feed on their shoulders. Then, they groom their sheep. Each kid gets a sheep to care for during the duration of their schooling. Them sheep's also need water, two buckets per scrub. And don't you spill none of Emil Egli's water. You spill some water, you run a mile. You drop a bucket, you run a mile. You come back with one bucket, Emil Egli will break his foot off in your John Brown hind parts, and then you run a mile. |
