Matiss likes taking questions from the media and being able to express himself and give his thoughts about his and his team's performances during the game. Matiss always likes to give people his side of the story about why he did one thing over another thing during the game and his thought process about his decisions. Matiss feels that if he opens up and explains why he did what he did it would allow people to understand a player's thinking during the game.
