Who the fuck cares if I, Brock Samson, am fictional. The important thing is that Frank Dux, as immortalized by Jean Claude Van Damme in 1988's Bloodsport, is based on a real person. I may be a fictitious entity crafted by a guy who doesn't super care but is helping out his wife, I may be named after a character in a TV show that dude legitimately loves and his amusement at making me obsessed with Bloodsport is really all he cares about with this, but I know that Frank Dux exists. Did he ever fight in a kumite? almost definitely not. Is he full of shit? Almost definitely yes. But does Jean Claude Van Damme kick major ass portraying Frank Dux in 1988's Bloodsport?
