Since Ozolins has had somewhat of a weird development compared to other players in his class, he doesn't take his spot for granted and tries his hardest in any game, regardless of it being during preseason or training camp. Obviously, that means he spends a lot of energy every day, so to fight that, Edžus has been pushing his stamina to its limits in order to improve it and allow for such energy-consuming days. Nothing can stop the Latvian from playing hockey as he has fun in any case, and in this instance, it works, as Edžus secured a spot on Los Angeles’ 3rd line along with fellow friend/rival/it’s complicated Ray Alexander. While some may think the preseason is useless and wouldn't take it seriously, Ozolins, him, goes head first into it and gives it his 100% in order to impress his general manager!
