Hey everyone! It's your friendly neighborhood IIHF HO here, welcoming you to this season's tournament. This year's showcase of international hockey will be coming to you from the home of the reigning champs, Ireland! The Irish took home gold last season with a dazzling display, can they repeat it on home ice? And where is this home ice? Well...this year's host city will be Limerick! They've expanded the facility used for the local university to host our tournament. 



Normally I'd infodump about the local hockey scene in real life, but seeing as though Ireland are not able to compete in IIHF tournaments in real life due to lack of sufficient rinks, let alone host it...but there is a strong local sports scene in Limerick, whose county hurling team has won the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship five of the last six years, including this year. 

We're targeting the 14th for the start of preseason, with round robin play not long after! Look out for some more media coming out as well! In addition, @Keven has brought back IIHF fantasy, with some SHL cash up for grabs!
