The Maine Timber have to, once again, be one of the favorites to walk away with it all given their experience and depth. Going into the S73 SMJHL Season, the team is stacked from top to bottom with vaunted veterans, talented rookies, and a management team with visions of being a powerhouse for a very long time. Within the team there are a few players that will have the biggest outcome on the season. Paramount among these is Mick Mayhem. Mick is a two way menace and a defender that sets the tone in every game. Being able to do everything, from zone exits to staunch hits and feathered passes. Mick will be setting the tone for the entire team. Next we have Jordan Thompson, not many players are as dynamic physically as Thompson, who is a 6'3" blazing monster on the ice with great touch. And our final player will be Shootin Blanks, who might be one of the best faceoff players in the entire SMJHL and a great head for offensive hockey. Not the best defensive player on the squad but someone that is always a threat when on the ice to score or set someone up for a scoring chance. Overall, Maine should be a dominant team with a lot of success coming their way.
