Vancouver has to be one of the highly-touted contenders heading into S73 of the SMJHL. They have seven players who are in their final season of eligibility and have all reached the 425-TPE cap for the juniors, including their starting goalie and an entire lineup of skaters capable of making opponents suffer. Scary Jerry enters his fourth season in the league, and third with the Whalers, and seems to have taken a significant step forward. In nine appearances thus far, Jerry has two shutouts and has saved 92% of the shots he has faced. Meanwhile, Vancouver winger Inactive Forever has already started building off of his 93-point campaign from a season ago by dominating all statistical categories for the team, with twelve goals and twelve assists in just eighteen games up to this point. Lastly, we look to the starting D-pairing with Bob Wehadababyitsaboy, who is playing the most minutes of any Whaler and contributing to both powerplay and penalty kill scenarios. Wehadababyitsaboy has a unbelievable twenty takeaways and zero giveaways, demonstrating his ability to maintain possession for his team.
