S73 SMJHL PT #3 - Rivalry Week

For Colorado, I think almost every other team in the league should be considered our rivals.
That sounds like such an easy way out for answering this question, but it is true. Our smashmouth style of play, truthfully, pisses teams and players off. On Thursday night, we shut down arguably the best line in the SHMJL right now, Vancouver's first line. I'm sure the number one team in the league saw us, Colorado, as an easy two points, and we won 7-5, with about 5 or so players having an 80+ DGR, with Nik Smith having a 99. Teams already hate us, and as we get better and better, teams are just going to hate us more and more. I cannot wait until the fruit of our labor pays off and we're sitting on top of the standings. We already have targets on our backs, and getting to that point will only mean larger targets, but we want it. We will embrace it. It's our drive to continue to be better. |
