I believe the main thing Luca brings to the table is his physical forecheck. Luca may not be the biggest body on the ice, but he makes his presence known. Not only does he lay the big hits. but he sets up nice passes to allow his mates to score some goals. While I believe Luca can be the main scorer on a line, he really comes to life playing that physical game. Playing the body is often overlooked, but remains a solid way to create scoring chances for his line mates. By forcefully taking the puck from the opponent, Luca allows his line mates to get open, or into a good position, to receive a pass and possibly score the goal. If Luca was not on the top line doing that, I do not think the other two forwards would be putting up as big as numbers. Or maybe I am completely wrong and my role is not that great.
