Code: Option 1: A quick glance at the San Francisco Pride's roster shows that their Season 71 draft class has finally graduated to the big leagues. This means many fresh faces, but also players that have their fair share of success in the SMJHL - Logan Webb won the Four-Star Cup this past season with the Maine Timber, Dominik Winters did so the season prior with the St. Louis Scarecrows, and Mercedes Baylé has been a lynchpin of the Regina Elk's offence for the past four seasons. However, one member of that draft class that is often overlooked is, ironically, the first overall pick of the Season 71 draft, and it is diminutive Swiss winger Levin Schattenaxt. His four seasons spent with the Great Falls Grizzlies seem to have worn down the shine of his underage season, when he was signed as a late addition to the Québec City Citadelles, helping them secure their second Four-Star Cup in Season 69 - which feels like a lifetime ago. His offensive touch has been lackluster in Montana, surpassing the 1 PPG mark only once, but he has shown time and again that he can perform his defensive duties as a forward as admirably as any other player on the ice, even as a youngster on the Switzerland's IIHF roster in the recent World Championships. He will immediately become an important part of the Pride's penalty kill, and with his ability to transform defence to offence, should be a boon for the all-rookie line he will most likely form with Webb and Winters.
