Incase you haven’t seen it from our update thread

There were some fun updates for you guys to check out in order to create a feeling of the portal being a more fleshed out product. So when you go onto the portal, you get more information that we felt should be there by default. And makes it feel more connected to the league in general rather than a place you do your updates and look at players.

The First big update is that we hired people to start linking your FHMID’s to your portal player, or your portalID.

They will be under your historical section of your and any players you want to look at


Obviously there is a big backlog, so they are working on getting everyone, but be on the lookout for it. Being able to find your index player from the portal itself is something we wanted, so that you didn't have to go through multiple tabs to find a player from the portal to the index.


The 2nd big update is that we have a lot of additional information to show on the portal. That includes Draft Information for SHL & SMJHL, Award Winners and Nominations for SHL & SMJHL, Award Winners for IIHF & SMJHL, Challenge Cup/Four Star Cup  Rosters for SHL & SMJHL, SHL & SMJHL All Star Teams. (IIHF AND WJC Medal rosters soon to come with help from historians)

But from that, we are able to show information in 3 places.

Team Pages



The team pages now include a history tab that will contain the history of all draft picks, cup wins, award winners and nominations from the teams. Along with HOF players if they played on your team the longest. You can navigate through each season to see that information


Player Pages
This is the main one I'm excited about, because again, like the Index Links, this gives more depth to players on the portal, and gives more information in a concentrated place. In order to find out information about a player, whether that's draft information, awards, anything. It was a big pain in the ass to access that information. Now, it will all be in one place for a player. Everything from their SHL, SMJHL, IIHF, and WJC career



History Page

Now, for people who want to view anything from S1-Present, we got you covered here. For any season you can see who got drafted, where they got drafted, and when they got drafted. S1-Present. No more looking through draft threads to find that information. And if they have a player on the portal, they will be linked.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask them! This has been something ive really wanted to get done for years now, but with the portal that dream has become reality. Having a central place that shows a users kinda career in a picture, with draft information, awards, and anything else they accomplished in their career was something that just wasnt possible on the forums without a huge undertaking like the LOAP back in the day. Big thanks to @downer without him this wouldn't be possible. Shoutout to past luke who did a lot of the heavy lifting for draft information and award information. Only had to catch up on the past 10 seasons for the SHL. and then gather all the SMJHL award nominations. The hardest part was getting the userID and linking all the FHMID’s together as well. So that in the future we want to link them in the index as well. We have also make it so that we can open it up to more player achievements as well as they pop up in the future.
