I wasn't sure what to expect when going into the draft, but when Quebec City moved up to draft me, I knew we'd have an amazing season with the talent they have on the roster. Bellona played on the third pair, which wasn't surprising as he was fresh out of college so you don't really want to be a liability and play hard minutes from the get-go. However I was surprised at getting power play minutes on the second unit. It didn't amount to much, only a single assist throughout the whole season, but I hadn't expected to see any ice time on special units this season. I don't know what my expectations were for my player, of course I wanted to produce and help the team but as I had never made a defenseman before, my expectations weren't that high. Well it turns out that my rookie season was amazing. Bellona finished 2nd in rookie defensemen scoring with 31 points, 2 fewer than leader Olivja Agate. I'm looking forward to seeing what a 350 build can do next season!
