B) I kind of just wrote about this in the last topic but again it was New England. Buffalo and Philadelphia second and third best teams in the regular season, Winnipeg best two wins where beating Texas and Chicago. Those two where only the sixth and seventh best team. Unfortunately neither team beat the top seed in Edmonton. C) Yet again I have to pick New England and for basically the same reasons I've already mentioned. Philadelphia was the third best team and New England won in six games a comfortable season. San Francisco was the 14th best team so Winnipeg was the higher seed and favorites in that match up so I can't pick them. D) Well the finals are already over as the time of writing this but if you asked me before the series I would have picked Winnipeg to win due to wanting Sydney Shaw to win the cup. Logically though I would say New England was the favorites but yeah I'm biased. Code: Code: 5. Written, 3 TPE, Upset City (150 words min) I mean you have to pick San Francisco over Edmonton right? Its the obvious choice as the most impressive upset clearly. If it was the most impressive run then its hands down New England run as they actually completed a Cinderella run this playoffs wining the cup. Still the most impressive upset was San Francisco win over Edmonton. Like come on the fourteenth seed beating the number one seed is crazy! Not to mention San Francisco won the series four to two having a game to spare. San Francisco started the series verses Edmonton perfectly with a guts overtime win followed by a seven to two blow put San Francisco in the driver seat. They then went on to loose a blow out to Edmonton in game three but bounced back with five to two win in game four to make the series a comfortable three to one. They then loose a close one and then win a close one to complete the very impressive upset. It might be the biggest upset in SHL in the playoffs. |
